Responsive Web Design

When we build websites for our clients in and around Horsham we make sure that they are responsive. What this means is that the layout of your website will adapt to the device that someone is viewing on, whether it is a PC, tablet or phone.

This makes the user experience as good as possible so that they are more likely to stay on your site and so increase likelihood of generating business.

It is also now critical for search engine optimisation. As from April 2015 Google has given priority to sites that are responsive so that if your site is responsive it is likely to rank higher than those that are not, and so sites that are not responsive may see a drop in their ranking.

How Responsive Design Works

If your website is non-responsive, what visitors see on a mobile phone is a mini-version of the website and they have to expand it to read it properly.

If the site is responsive the layout changes on the mobile phone, with features such as a small drop down menu appearing. See the example below.
